Minister: Rev Dr Jonathan Humphrey
Originally from the Isle of Skye, Jonathan joined Chalmers Ardler as Minister in Sept 2018. In this role he has overall responsibility for the vision and direction of the church, its worship life and mission to the parish and wider community. Before becoming minister at Chalmers Ardler, Jonathan had a 20-year career in Forestry hearing the call to ministry in 2005. An appointment as associate minister at Gorebridge Parish Church in 2012 was followed in 2015 by a period as minister of two churches in the Scottish Highlands.
Jonathan has been married to Kate for over 30 years and they have two grown up sons who are embarking on careers in Law and Environmental Management.
For over 8 years, Jonathan and Kate have ministered together in leadership and discipleship. They are Scottish Ambassadors for Love After Marriage, a ministry that brings hope and healing to marriages. They are both accredited practitioners in Bethel Sozo and trained in a range of prayer and healing ministries. Kate has also trained with Hope Church School of Supernatural Ministry and works part time as a teacher overseeing early years education in Angus Council. When they are not working, Jonathan and Kate enjoy walking, drinking coffee, eating scones and spending time with family.
“We are so pleased that God brought us to Chalmers Ardler as our passion is to lead a church in revival and to see the expansion of the Kingdom of God in both church and community. We love seeing people of faith, little faith or none, experience the transforming love of Jesus and the reality of His presence in their lives through the Holy Spirit.”
