We are looking forward to reopening for worship at 11am on Sunday 25th October, however in a physical sense, church will look very different. Click here for some guidance to help those who intend to return at this time.
In accordance with the most recent advice from the Scottish Government regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19), worship services at Chalmers Ardler are currently restricted. Children and young people’s meetings as well as the crèche are not taking place nor is tea and coffee being served. To obtain further information specific to our situation, please click here
We recognise that not everyone will wish to return to worshiping in a building at this time – this is understandable and absolutely OK. Whilst the building is reopening to allow worship services to be held, alongside this we shall be continuing to make available an opportunity to engage with our services online or via our telephone link.
In normal times the Sunday morning service is at 11am and is fairly traditional in format. Both traditional and modern hymns and songs are used and praise is led by a praise band. Prayers of intercession are led by a member of the congregation and a member will also read the Bible passage. Included in the service are prayers for healing and these are led by one of the healing ministry team.
During the service, children of primary school age have their own meeting (King’s Kids) and they join the congregation for the last part of the service. The teenagers are in church for the early part of the service and then have their own meeting (Secondary Squad), joining the main congregation again when the King’s Kids come in.
Tea and coffee are served in the Hall of Friendship after the service, giving time to chat and enjoy one another’s company.
